Welcome

To the Official Website of Valleyhi Community Club, Inc.

This website is produced & maintained by your Community Club Board of Trustees. As your official website for community news, water information and more it is paid for with Valleyhi Community Club funds. We welcome your feedback; please contact us directly using the contact page and thanks for visiting!  More information about water system maintenance fees and club dues can be found on the Pertinent Information page.

And now, this new link below is to help us gather information about the use of Valleyhi water and is a state-required survey.  It is less than 25 questions, most of which just need a yes-no answer.  You will need an email account (preferably a google account) to sign in and respond.  Thank You!!   https://forms.gle/x1QrxZftBVsTTR2FA

Update: The board meeting for February 19 has been cancelled due to lack of a quorum.  We plan to meet at 6:30PM on Thursday March 19, at the Icicle Creek Enrichment Center

Your community board HAS PAID OFF OUR WA STATE DEPT. OF HEALTH DRINKING WATER REVOLVING FUND LOAN that helped pay for the current infrastructure of water lines and fire hydrants.

The board has also entered into a contract with a local Civil Engineer, Dave Shetler, to create an initial analysis of location, design and construction options for a new reservoir!

OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS!  Join our team and serve your community.  We still need a Treasurer!

Email a letter of interest to:  valleyhiboardcontact@gmail.com

Our newest board member is Secretary Siobahn King!  Thank you, Siobahn, for joining our team.

WATER RESERVOIR ASSESSMENT:

Readers are referred back to the minutes from the 2024 Special Meeting, held immediately after the 2024 annual meeting, where the community voted to assess each lot $1300 to pay off our existing loan in order begin the process of building a new reservoir. Many people have already paid in full, and as a board we are grateful for this great community support!  All assessments were due in full by August 31, 2025.  If you have not completed your payment, please do so ASAP.  Your neighbors are counting on everyone to participate.

2025 WATER SYSTEM MAINTENANCE PAYMENTSRemember that your Water System Maintenance fee is due on May 31st.   The annual statement will be in your mailbox about May 1, and is due by the end of that month.  The water system maintenance fee for 2025 is $814.82 and is due, paid in full, by May 31, 2025.  The annual club dues for the upcoming year remains at $66 for the year, for a total of $880.82. Your payment needs to be mailed to Valleyhi Community Club, PO Box 292, Peshastin, WA 98847.  Monthly, quarterly or even biannual payments are being accepted and credited to your account. Board members and the treasurer cannot take payments – they must be sent to the address above.  Members with outstanding balances (INCLUDING THE CURRENT DUES FEE) prior to the voting event at the annual meeting will not be allowed to vote. And any outstanding balances, no matter how small, will be subject to interest charges.  If preferred, the payment may be made via PayPal, at the link below or through your own PayPal account.

PAYPAL:  This payment process was created at the request of community members. To pay using this service the internet address is PayPal.me/VhiCCwaterbill.  There is a fee associated with using this process that Valleyhi cannot afford to absorb, so each member who chooses this method of payment will have to absorb the extra cost involved. PLEASE ADD A NOTE TO CLARIFY WHY YOU ARE SENDING FUNDS.

FIREWISE:  Resident Cody Smith has volunteered to lead the Firewise Program to help protect our community in the event of a wildfire.  He will be introduced during the Annual Meeting.  More information about this role and program will be posted later.

COUGAR SIGHTINGS:  A cougar was seen in the late afternoon of December 27, 2024, a few houses West of the intersection of Hansel and Allen Lanes, just as you come into Valleyhi.  Another cougar was seen along the creek in the late afternoon on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023.  Fish and Wildlife said that this cougar’s behavior was concerning as it was staring at a resident and even came back after the resident made a bunch of noise and turned on more lights.  Stay vigilant; in the summer of 2022, a cougar was spotted in various locations around Valleyhi, and in December of 2018, a cougar killed a dog and a cat in our neighborhood.  Fish and Wildlife came out and put that cougar down because it had become a danger to people as it prowled closely to homes. If you see a cougar, you can call the Wenatchee District Office for Fish and Wildlife at 509-662-0452 between 8:00 and 5:00 Monday through Friday.  In an emergency situation you can call the WA State Patrol at 682-8090. For more information on Cougars, visit the Pertinent Info page.

Note:  The Bookmobile Changes Its Visitation Schedule – see the Events Page (tab above) for more details.

The Bookmobile will be parked in the parking lot near the pond the second and fourth Fridays of the month from 3:00 – 4:00 PM, beginning Feb 14, 2025.
